As if Pennsylvania lifting its ban on gay marriage wasn’t enough of a reason to celebrate, we just got word of even more great news. Restaurant owner Dave Magrogan has announced that he will be donating wedding receptions to two gay couples at his Philadelphia Stella Rossa and Harvest Seasonal Grill & Wine Bar locations.
“I have a lot of LGBT employees, customers and friends that are so thrilled that this ban was lifted that I felt that I had to do something to commemorate this historic occasion,” said Magrogan. “I’m excited to help a few couples realize the dream of being married after so many years of struggling to gain this basic human right. It has been a difficult road for many LGBT couples and I want to do my part to make this process easier for them.”
Here is how winners will be chosen:
- Couples (or friends of gay couples) can post up to 50 words explaining why they should win a wedding on the Stella Rossa Ristorante Facebook page and Harvest Seasonal Grill & Wine Bar Facebook page.
- The two couples that gain the most “likes” by June 30 will win a wedding for up to 50 guests complete with a buffet lunch or dinner and open bar.
- Both weddings must take place before the end of 2014.
Spread the good word and help two lucky couples win a wedding reception on Dave Magrogan!
